Create a CSR

To create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), follow these steps:

  1. In the FASTPANEL® sidebar, go to the "SSL certificates" section.

  2. In the "SSL certificates" section, click on the "New certificate" option to begin setting up a new certificate.

  3. In the "New certificate" menu, select "Certificate Signing Request" from the list of available certificate types on the left side of the screen, and configure the following settings:

    • Email - Enter the contact email address to be associated with the CSR.
    • Key length - Choose the key length for the CSR. 2048 is the recommended default value.
    • Country code - Enter the 2-letter country code (e.g., "US" for United States, "EE" for Estonia).
    • Common name - Enter the primary domain name (e.g., example.com) for which the certificate is requested.
    • Aliases - Specify additional domains (aliases) covered by the certificate, separated by commas.
    • Region - Enter the region or state (e.g., "California").
    • City - Enter the city.
    • Organization - Specify the name of the organization requesting the certificate.
    • Organization unit - Enter the department or division name (e.g., "IT") within the organization.

    After filling in all the required fields, click "Save" to generate the CSR. You can then use this CSR to purchase an SSL certificate from a certificate authority.
